Equal Parts SF brings a Contemporary California cuisine and craft cocktails to North Beach, revitalizing the historic Old Spaghetti Factory landmark at 478 Green Street. Led by Executive Chef Melissa Perfit, a former contestant on Bravo’s Top Chef, the seasonal menu draws on coastal influences with refined yet approachable shareable dishes, from Kona kanpachi and braised pork shank to lamb ribs and whole roasted branzino. An innovative beverage program featuring premium agave spirits, housemade infusions, coastal wines, and local draft beers complements the menu. Set within a vibrant, plant-filled interior and inviting outdoor space, Equal Parts honors the neighborhood’s rich cultural history while offering a lively destination for dining, drinks, dates, and late-night gatherings.

Our Story

Equal Parts was created with a simple idea: bring people together through great food, thoughtful cocktails, genuine hospitality, with a space that feels alive.

We opened our doors in December 2025 at 478 Green Street in the heart of North Beach, inside the historic building that was home to the Old Spaghetti Factory for nearly 60 years. With deep roots in San Francisco’s cultural history and the Beat Generation, the space has always been a place where people gathered, shared stories, and stayed awhile. We wanted to honor that history while giving it a new chapter.

Our menu, led by Executive Chef Melissa Perfit, celebrates Contemporary California cuisine through seasonal ingredients, coastal influences, and dishes designed to be shared. Behind the bar, that same philosophy comes to life through ingredient-driven cocktails, housemade infusions, premium agave spirits, coastal wines, and local beer. Food and beverage are equal parts of the experience—hence the name.

But Equal Parts has always been about more than what’s on the plate or in the glass. We wanted to create the kind of neighborhood restaurant we love spending time in ourselves: welcoming enough for a Tuesday night drink, lively enough for a Saturday night out, and memorable enough for life’s celebrations.

Inspired by the energy of modern Mexico City and organic beauty of Tulum, the interior blends lush greenery, warm textures, and intentional lighting, to create a setting that feels transportive. From the long arched entryway to the plant-filled dining room and outdoor space, every detail was designed to invite you in, and stay awhile.
